Research Associate

Position Summary. The Analyst is responsible for producing industry and/or functional analysis reports in support of search engagements, specialty practices and new business initiatives.  This includes competitive information, product information and target company list development.  The Analyst provides analysis and conclusions to be incorporated into a client-ready documents. Various locations including virtual are available.

Responsibilities.

  • Assist in the creation of and develop a solid understanding of the potential client/client’s industry including specific information regarding the “value proposition” (competitive landscape, strengths, and weaknesses), stock performance, employee count, etc., and synthesize information accurately.
  • Maintain current awareness of news and issues associated with key client engagements and market opportunities and share that information and knowledge in a timely way with company officers.
  • Assist in, contribute to and own the target list development, name generation and org chart creation by leveraging internal and external databases, social media, company and industry focused web sites, etc.  to identify potential prospects and to provide neutral commentary.
  • Participate in assignment initiation with company officers assisting in the development of our implementation strategy.

Key Criteria.

  • An undergraduate degree
  • Two-years’ experience using all MS Platforms, CRM and/or database programs
  • Demonstrated research competency to include financial analysis of businesses, industry, or market
  • Fluent in English; APAC, EMEA language skills a plus

Analyst Intern - West Coast and Midwest Offices

Duration:   Eight- ten weeks, Summer 2018

Position Summary.

Analyst interns will work on strategic projects with Consultants and Executive Recruiters. Coordinate and complete business analysis on multi-faceted business development projects. Bring creative solutions to search assignments and new business issues. Provide research and analysis support to management and participating in special projects.

Analyst interns will work simultaneously on a variety of projects that vary greatly in size and complexity. Some projects target a narrowly defined business problem, while other projects address much larger strategic needs which may result in the creation of a presentation, report, or intellectual capital. Interns will be asked to present an overview of their work to their office at the conclusion of their internship.

Qualification Profile

Rising seniors or graduate students only. A solid academic record is required – all majors welcome. Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills. Proficiency with MS Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required. Previous experience in a research capacity is a plus.
