Trust Him When You Can’t Track Him!
You’re doing the best you know how right now, arent you? I’m doing the best I know how. It’s not always right. We will never be perfect. I know I screw up daily. I am that Ugly Truth because I’m a work in progress. We’re learning just like everyone else. I’m not keeping score and don’t want popularity, do you? Would you rather be popular or successful? Don’t we fail and sometimes feel like a failure? Yes, because we’re human. You’re not a failure!
The old adage of perception is reality is a false belief! If you are perceived to be something, you might as well be it because that’s the truth in people’s minds is WRONG, old and NOT who you are. Stop hitting <REPEAT> on your iPhone. We are not someone else’s reality when you take time to listen, to wonder, to support and to be grateful of who you are. As Maya Angelou once said, “…do your best you can until you know better [and] when you know better, then do better.”
There’s Opportunity in Opposition
When life kicks you in your teeth, there is nothing more comforting than having someone come alongside you. Maybe you’re overtly teased, ignored, even despised. It’s ok and know it’s part of the process – a ‘diet of tears’. The difficulties you are facing in your life today, there’s hope to turn opposition into opportunity. In all situations take time to stand, to be still and sense of the presence of God; knowing he is with you His face smiles on you. Hang in there, don’t give up.
We are called to serve and to live with ‘wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind.
We are called to have Him search and heal our hearts and the motives behind those thoughts.
We, men, must stay lost in the process if we are to live the promise. Come close to God and He will come close to you (Ja 4:8). Alignment starts with me and our assignment begins with God. He controls our destiny and we control our destination. It’s time to yield to our destiny.
We, men, allow our feelings of inadequacy to rule over us. We may fail and fail often yet we’re not failures – regardless how we’ve been made to feel by daily circumstances. They come as a devastating blow when least expected and can have a crippling effect. We must not let evils arrows allow them to penetrate our armor. God knows how to deliver us. We must stop doubting his ability, stop asking ‘why’ and be still, listen to what we’re asked to learn in the moment, ask what’s our next best move Lord.
“Everyone has a story that will break your heart. And if you’re really paying attention, most people will have a story that brings you to your knees.” – Brene Brown
